Yamaha R15 V3

Yamaha R15 V3 with DABAL exhaust has a throaty growl [Video]
The Yamaha R15 V3 remained the most awaited bikes in the Indian market before it was launched at the 2018 Auto Expo earlier this year. The R15 V3 is an entry-level sports bike that is inspired by the YZF-R1. The entry-level track bike attracts a lot of customers due to its sharp looks and state-of-the-art technology that it uses. To make it even sportier, many owners go for customisation. One of the most customised part of such high-performance bikes in the exhaust. Here is a performance exhaust from DABEL that costs around Rs. 12,500. The exhaust completely the way the R15 V3 sounds. The exhaust note becomes quite deep and it gets an overall throaty growl too. Performance exhaust such as this one shown in the video also increases the power output slightly but there has been no mention of the same in the video. Even during idling, the motorcycle sounds much better than the stock and it will surely make the enthusiasts turn their heads. Even Yamaha offers a performance exhaust as an optional accessory with the new R15 V3. The Daytona exhaust supplied by Yamaha increases the power marginally. However, due to the high level of noise, the exhaust is restricted for use and can only be used at private places like a race track. We are not sure if the DABEL is legal to be used on the public roads but given the exhaust’s loud note, it may get into trouble if cops catch bikes with such… [Read full story]

R1 Crash

Riding his Yamaha R1 for the first time, owner was very excited and happy. The initial ride seemed smooth and eventless as the rider and his biking buddies take to the road.
The rider can be seen cruising along at high speed across the smooth expressway. Traffic was sparse and the helmet camera captured the ride when all of a sudden the camera shook just as the rider was turning a corner. The accompanying video of a high speed crash once again draws attention to the vital importance safety gear plays in protecting lives.

The bike was at a high speed and even though the exact speed was not revealed, the way in which the bike sped past traffic moving in the same direction indicates that it was travelling way above average speed limits.
This shaking camera also indicates that the road could have suddenly turned bumpy which caused the rider to lose control and crash into the median. Luckily for him, he was accompanied by his friends who were quick to take action by moving him to the nearest hospital.

The rider has since recovered from injuries and gives credit to his friends for the timely help and the fact that he was wearing good quality safety gear without which he could probably have faced a life threatening situation.
Though this accident occurred some time ago, the video has just been uploaded so as to drive home the point of safety being vital to survival. The recent spate of high speed crashes made the rider share the video and he hopes other will learn by his example.

In an attempt to prevent road users from disobeying one way traffic rules and resulting accidents, the police have decided improvement can come through the installation of Traffic Spikes Barrier (Road Blade) in Jaipur City.
Self explanatory, if a vehicle approaches a one way road from the wrong end, the road blade will puncture its tyre/tyres. For this, spike blades will be laid on one-way roads. Barrier width is thought to be at around 4 metres.

2018 Yamaha YZF-R3, YZF-R6, YZF-R1 + YZF-R1M

2018 Yamaha R1 price cut by Rs 2.57 lakh in India

Reduction in Excise Duty has made Yamaha India pass on benefit to customers and 2018 Yamaha R1 is now priced at INR 18.16 lakhs.

Yamaha brought Ultimate Motorcycling to the stellar Utah Motorsports Campus (UMC) for its R-World press event, where we had our pick of the entire Yamaha Supersport product line. Better yet, Yamaha partnered with Bridgestone to help them launch the ultra-sticky Bridgestone Battlax Racing R11 DOT-approved track tire.
R-World is Yamaha’s way of describing the full Supersport line up, which includes the 2018 Yamaha YZF-R3, YZF-R6, YZF-R1S, YZF-R1, and the line topping YZF-R1M. This gave Yamaha a perfect chance to show off some of its factory authorized accessories from GYTR, Graves Motorsports, and Yoshimura R&D. Above all, it allowed us a chance to test some of the mechanical updates made to the 2018 Yamaha YZF-R1 and YZF-R1M.Yamaha

2018 Yamaha YZF-R3 Review

The Yamaha YZF-R3 is a perfect and sensible entry-point for motorcycle riders who want to kickstart their sport riding career. If you don’t plan on carrying passengers, the factory seat cowl bumps the looks up and bit and gives it the appearance of a racy little supersport.
The R3’s 321cc parallel-twin offers tractable power that newer riders will be able to become accustomed to, whether on the street or at your first track day for some advanced training. On a close quarters track like the East Circuit at UMC, the YZF-R3 has plenty of power to teach you the importance of throttle control and line choices. With add-ons such as the Yoshimura slip-on muffler, you’ll also be able to spice up your machine’s tone without too much work or a massive hit to your wallet.

2018 Yamaha YZF-R1 Review

In 2015, Yamaha unveiled the latest generation of the YZF-R1 and it was a game changer for the Japanese brand in terms of design philosophy, with track riding put at the forefront. And that philosophy has paid off in making the YZF-R1 a popular club racing and track day platform. Since then, the YZF-R1 has remained largely unchanged, until this year.
At the heart of the R1 is the venerable 998cc crossplane concept inline-4, which has an exhaust note that has become something of a fan favorite in the motorcycle community. With a seemingly unlimited amount of power on tap, it takes a serious rider to tame the beastly Yamaha.
Luckily, it can be kept in check with the Yamaha Ride Control suite. The R1 makes use of a true six-axis IMU, that monitors lean sensitive ABS, traction control, LIF, slide control and all other safety systems.

Yamaha

Yamaha R1 is available in color options of Tech Black and Yamaha Blue. It is imported as a CBU from Japan. It appeals to younger buyers in its segment with a host of sporty features.
